Michael McNally
Founder and CEO (In Memorium)
Michael McNally, Chairman Emeritus, not only greatly contributed to Maverick, but was a creator of it. He started Maverick, named after his Samoyed, out of a bar in South Boston, as a man with a dog and a plan. Beginning with street lighting contracts within the City of Boston to eventually expanding into telecommunications, engineering and heavy utilities throughout New England, The United States, and Ireland. From the beginning, when Michael created Maverick in 1996, he always strived to do better while maintaining his empathy and understanding of
people, never forgetting his humble origins. Due to his resilience, work ethic, and unique friendly personality, Michael expanded Maverick into a global force, completing major projects throughout The United States, the Caribbean, Russia, Poland, and Mexico. In addition to his role as CEO of Maverick, he was the Managing Partner and Founder of Maverick Energy Services in Ireland and One Source Power in Boston, leaving a permanent mark on the people and industries he touched.
In September of 2023, Michael was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Throughout his fourteen-
month battle, he showed incredible resilience, always moving forward with unwavering strength. He spent his final months surrounded by his children, Caroline McNally and Michael McNally, Jr. Michael passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Michael’s zest for life, generosity, and deep love for his family were unparalleled. His commitment to his children, Maverick, his steadfast support, and his selfless nature were the foundation of his character. His accomplishments were numerous, but it was his determination, vision, grace, and sense of humor that left a forever impact on Maverick and all who knew him. He never met a stranger and extended love, respect, and kindness to everyone he encountered.
